The Cheverny restaurant is established on a plot of land built for the first time around 1909 by François Texier, a wine merchant at that time. At the end of the First World War, the Clin and Russe company founded a shoe factory there.
In 1922 they built new workshops and offices.
In 1934 Victor Russe bought the buildings.
His production was sold there in the 1950s under the brand name « L’Auréole ».
The factory closed in the mid-1960s. The premises were then bought by the Dutreix-Schindler company, specialists in the installation and maintenance of elevators, for their offices and their warehouse.
Due to a lack of modernization, the company moved to an industrial zone. It was at this time, in 2011-12, that Mr. and Mrs. Palard, who lived at 61-63 avenue Baudin as from 1986, invested in the premises and gave a new life to this location full of history (57 avenue Baudin).
Opening August 2012.
2017, 5 years of the New Cheverny.
May 2019, complete renovation of the decoration of the establishment. Creation of a new space – bioclimatic pergola semi outdoor – for seminars and events. (Covered terrace discoverable).
December 2020, Obtaining the Artisan Gourmand New Aquitaine label.
2 October 2021, 35 years for the restaurant.
